Another antibiotics question, sorry!

I am just curious really as to why it says on the box I have to take the tablet with a full glass of water? Last night it was nearly taken taken with a full glass of wine lol.

At work and forgot my inhaler, starting to panic.

I think, taking a full glass of water, ensures that the tablet goes right into the stomach, otherwise some tabs may irritate the gullet.

Have you ever taken antibiotics with only a small amount of water? They get stuck in your throat and the taste, a few minutes later is EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
