Corrie's Tommy Duckworth

I thought Tommy appeared some time ago and was a chef.
He stayed with Jack and worked in the restaurant Leanne was in.
He stole papers out of Jack's tin in order to use his identity to get a loan to take over the restaurant.
The restaurant burned down - I think it was his fault.

Now they make it sound as if he has never seen Jack since he was 9 years old .

Am I imagining all this ??

I think the chef was called Paul, Tommy's half brother.
