I have a blackberry bold and am on contract and also going to Thailand soon. I have a couple of questions I need help with: Will it be cheaper to use the internet on the phone or the network (calls and sms)? Which ever is best, how do I turn off either choice? Thank you for any help you have

I would love to but it's my first holiday away from family and my mum expects contact everyday...
Internet cafe .. in BKK or Chiang Mai .. Hat Yai, etc.
If you will use quite a bit .. take a cheap unlocked tri-band phone and stick in a Thai SIM card. Then that will be a lot cheaper to send, etc.
I don`t have a blackberry. I`m a pauper and only have a pay as you go phone. I never answer or call from my phone overseas as it is so expensive. Nor do my colleagues who have iphones and the latest gadgets. I text if I have to and buy phone cards if I want/have to speak to anyone.
