Hi. I have a new Laptop and have been burning CD's to the hard drive. When the D drive plays any CD made by Warner Bros it is very distorted. Apparently it's a commonn problem but I can't seem to find if there is a download to rectify this. Does anyone know?

What exactly do you mean by burning CDs to the hard drive?

Sorry, I meant 'ripping'.
What relevance to CD's being distorted is ripping music to your hard drive?

If you play or rip music from a CD which was made by Warner Brothers (E.G: Madonna's 'Music', or Red Hot Chili's 'By The Way'). the music sounds horribly distorted. It is quite common on newish D drives on Laptops (mine is an HP G62).

Your answer doesn't make any sense, for the following reasons:

An audio file is made up of ones and zeroes just like any other file. If you had
problems with audio files on the D drive, you'd have problems with every file on the D drive

The D drive on most laptops is physically on the same drive as C. It's not a disk drive; it's one of two partitions (C & D) on the same physical device.
