created poster in word but the saved versions are different if emailed

emailed a friend my poster the first time they opened attachment looked on the laptop which doesn't have current word programme installed so it only showed half the poster. Then re sent and looked on office pc which has word programme the same age of programme that I produced the poster on, all the fonts on the poster have come out different styles and sizes it looks terrible...any help?

Fonts etc. can be install on a PC separately to the applications. Need to ensure both PCs have the same fonts installed.

If all else fails try 'save as'. As an earlier version of Word. Se if that helps.

if you use a font that your friend does not have on their computer it will not be able to show that one and will be different,there is usually a pop up to say that it is unable to use the chosen font because it is missing

Convert the document to a pdf and send that.

As you haven't bothered to mention the version of Word, I can't give more detailed instructions.
