The air con in my car is taking an incredible amount of time to really cool the car down. Is this a sign that the air con needs servicing and recharging?

It's four years old and I'm pretty sure the air con never features on the service schedule.

Thanks Eddie. Farewell another few £s......
I dont know how to do the the link but check out youtube:ultimatimatehandyman...how to re gas air con in a car....i've not tried to do it but the testimonials seem positive...if you dont fancy that i believe that national autocare do a recharge for about £60,good luck.
oop's......ultimatehandyman.....dony know what happend there...sorry.
Make sure all vents on dash are set to 'recirculate' rather than set to drawing in air from outside. Might help until regassed.
donT know.....oh i give up.
Looked easy enough so long as you can locate the inlet. And avoid chopping your hands off.
depends what vehicle you are asking about!

Don't ask for a re-charge or a re-gass or try and DIY!!

The air con wants servicing, as already said go to national autocare they do a good job at a good price.

to keep it working after the service it must be run even in the winter for a few minutes each week to make sure the seals do not degrade, use it or loose it!

Should be serviced every 2 or 3 years.
National Autocare? Who are they?

If you mean Nationwide Autocentres, they are now called Halfords.
