any ideas how to put new brushes in a bosch washing machine, hubby not familiar with bosch appliances, thanks

Pretty easy.

If I remember correct you don't need to remove the motor to do it, it's a bit more fiddly to do it with the motor attached, but is possible,

I have a Bosch Maxx and did the brushes last year.
Turn the machine upside down. Remove the motor with 3 bolts. Change brushes,(obvious how this is done) replace motor and job done.
It will be noisy (whiney ) at first until the brushes bed in.
