On Wednesday, I received the Saturday Telegraph cryptic crossword pen prize. It was unexpected because I only buy the Saturday paper and the winners are published on another day. I've sent the crossword in for about ten years so if anyone has been sending it in for a long time without winning, don't give up hope! And, by the way, thanks to Answer Bankers for occasional help!

I won a pen in September 2003 and again a consolation prize of £10 in May 2004. I've sent the Saturday Telegraph cryptic crossword in for over 25 years, so I suppose I should count myself lucky.

By the way, the letter enclosed with the prize said it was for Crossword no. 26510 and it is no. 26522 this week so it has taken some time to arrive!
