At the end of the village is a farm that reeks. It is not normal countryside smells - it smells like they are spreading raw sewerage or something (it is truly horrible). What bit of environmental health do bad smells come under as I am going to complain about it? Thanks.

Good thanks sher, lovely week here!........have been sat on the beach the last 3 days soaking up the sun!............lovely!...............
There are only so many things it can be. Silage, dung spreaders, fertiliser. If it not any of those things it can only be a rancid slurry pit. It can`t be anything else.
Starbuck, I cant find anything wrong with living in the country, fresh air, yes, for 356 days of the year an unpleasant aroma may drift around on occasions. We don't have to put up with car horns or cars racing around or police, ambulance, fire brigade sirens, dogs barking, pollution from cars lorries etc, I don't have to listen to all the drunken idiots shouting as they come home from the pub. The only thing I hear when I wake up is birds singing, apart from that it is silence. When I walk up my lane a car may pass ever 10-20 minutes. Its heaven
Agree -- with Ratter, Why do people who complain about countryside smells , noise , animals whatever continue to stay there .They may well be a lot happier in a car filled , congested city.Wouldn't be my choice tho by a long way.Give me the quiet life, the birds singing , the open space the actual fields and animals.
A few smelly days is little enough to pay for all that.
How long have you lived in a village sherrardk?
