stuff left to you in a will

just read tinkerbells post and i was wondering what kinda stuff people have left you,i have had money left by my folks.

A friend left me the entire contents of his house - including his dog. Sadly I had to find the dog another home as he refused to settle in my home and fought with my elderly dogs and cats.

Mum left me her engagement ring that dad bought from a pawnbrokers as an 'unredeemed pledge' I never take it off. My 3 sisters all had an item of her jewellery that she wore on a daily basis

As soon as my mother knew how ill she was she changed her will and rang me up to tell me she was leaving me nothing. She had previously written my sister out after a nasty falling out. My half-brother and half-sister were still included. I didn't want anything but I was pretty hurt that she could still have the presence of mind to do this knowing that she was going to die very soon.

My grandmother, who had been terribly poor all her life, left £10 to each of her grandchildren, on condition they spent it on something frivolous, not useful. She had never had money for treats or anything frivolous, but she wanted us to have something like that. It was quite a long time ago - I spent mine on a ( then ) fashionable underpetticoat which made skirts stick out like a ballerina's .
Like I said, it was a long time ago.
