Ooer! I've never thought to use anything like that, I just get it pumped out once a year.

You shouldn't use anything chemical, here in Spain we bung down fish heads to get the bacteria going, yuk I know, but has to be done! (of course I clean the loo with cif/bleach etc and this is why I have to restart the bacteria often!!
