How can you tell if he's testing you?

So we both like each other and he just told me something and he said I couldn't tell anyone else and that he trusts me. Could he be just testing me to see if I'm going to tell someone?

Btw this isn't the same guy that I've asked questions about on here before..

Sounds like he just wants to unburden himself of something or there is something you need to know. If he is just testing you then that would mean he is trying to manipulate you which isn`t good.

If you think he is testing you then already you are questioning his motives which doesn't bode well. If he is testing you then he doesn't trust you ...yet

if you are the only person he has told and its 'not bad'. then i would just forget it and carry on through life. that way, secret is safe, you are trusted and there are no mind games.
