Our day out

Just to say thank you to all the nice posts and to say we had a lovely day out, sat facing the sea whilst we ate our "mixed plate" of sea food [ getting pricey though !] at Leigh on Sea , even managed to get a parking space with the help of the traffic warden ! and then on to Southend for a Rossi ice cream -still the best- lovely and sunny all day,did hubby the world of good and it did not rain until we were 5 mins away from home.

Dee, Glad you enjoyed your day, What did you think of our new Southend? they've done such a lot & its looking good with all the Palm trees going all the way along the front to Thorpe Bay.
To round the day off you should have popped in to see me & H for a cuppa.

ps yes "Sarfend" does look good especially the promenade going towards Westcliff, if only they could get rid of the tacky amusements but then I suppose its part of tradition. and as a kid I loved them & the Kursal too.Hubby's favourite is the little train to the end of the pier.
