Strange logic when people terrorising an area try to brand people who'd tell on them as informers...

The problem is that more people might inform if plod was more careful, ie some c0ckup lets this sort of slime walk and then commit atrocities on informants for revenge. QED the Acourt etc lot over the lawrence murder, they let a list of people "helping with enquiries" fall into the wrong hands for example.

How difficult is it to find where the site is hosted, demand that they tell who is paying for it and then track them down?

and what could be done if they were tracked down? Is it an offense to say such things?
It's simple intimidation, in the rough parts near me you see 'so and so is a grass' sprayed over walls, that's a battle I can't see the police ever winning and one of the main reasons many crimes go without any witnesses.
