does anybody know what causes a 4 year old turfed lawn ,which grew perfectly well for 3 years, to suddenly go bumpy all over?? is there a cure?...thanks

Here in the U.S. a lumpy lawn is most often caused by large earth worms (we call the night crawlers). They are quite huge... some reaching 8 inches long and as big around as your little finger.

They are most noticeable after a light rain... As already suggested rolling will help... but they will come back. They are an indicator of good health in your lawn though...
Pushed a 300lb roller up and down my lawn this week, flattened it a treat, nearly killed me though.
