Found out today that we don't actually own one of our cars thanks to some thieving garage selling us a car that they claimed was HP checked. Been to trading standards and the garage has done this to loads of people and the owners have done a flit (not surprisingly).  Apparently, if we can prove that we are the first people to claim ownership (or something) then we can legally keep it!  Arrrrgghhhh!!!!

No (far from it - that's why we are trying to get rid of it) - my husband has one for getting to and from work and he has been using it for work and I have one. He has bought a works van now and wanted to sell his car and that's how we found out about the thieving bastards at the garage.
