Strange lump on my cat
Hi all wondering if you could help figure out what the heck came out of my cat today.
Hes an elder tom cat and when we first had him the vet told us he had a small bb pellet uncer his arm on his side, it was hard and moved freely on its own and never caused him any problems, it was the same size for years and over the last few months has gotten a little bit bigger but thought nothing of it as it was still moving freely and causing him no harm so left it alone, i was combing him for flea's yesterday (as you do) and went over it and noticed whatever it was was coming out of a sizable hole in his skin. It still caused him no pain, so i had abit of a prod and still nothing, it looked as if it had one good squeeze behind it, it would pop out but i didnt want to do that and leave an open wound on his body so just had a real good look at it and it seemed abit weird and peely, like alot of layer. Left it alone til today and popped him down to the vet's and he popped it right out.
The vet had no idea what it was it was quite big about the size of a small maltester, the vet cut it open and all it was, was layers and layer of what looked and felt like rubber, it was so strange it had no starting point, no small rock or seed.
The vet seems to think its something his own body has made but hes never seen anything like it before and if i wanted would send it off for test but that would be £50.
Anyway ive been searching for ages on google and havent come up with anything? Any clues please?
