Buying a 2nd car
I was interested in buying a car for cash from a dealer. No trade in involved. The asking price is £4950 . What reasonable amount should i start off with so that i can get the best price and reduce the £4950 by as much as possible. Any suggestions welcome.

I was not at this dealer before so i would usually take off my Rolex watch and jewellery, dress down and pretend i am a little stupid! Its like trying to find out who blinks first! Anyway i think i will start at your figure £4000 and work from there. Thanks.
First bit of advise Porkchop, take a mechanic with you ( with respect to yourself) look up the car prices on Auto trader with the exact details of the one you want, there are hundreds of cars out there standing on Garage Forecourts so don't jump the gun otherwise you may regret it, try if possible to bye from a private seller, but never ever if told that the V5 book is in the post & you will receive it from the DVLA you need to have this on the time of purchase, also ALL paper work, Service History, MOTs & check the mileage off each one, do not bye in wet weather as the rain gives out imperfection that you cannot see go in daylight & when it's dry. bye in haste you will pay the price.
