I am so annoyed with myself

The landlord has the buiders in at the mo & yestedayI was at home when this chap appeared. He was chatting to the builders & then to me. Asking what I thought to the work & how good it would look when it was. I assumed he new the builders. They assumed he knew me. An out later I discovered he legged it with my mobile & my flatmates laptop. Theft by distraction according to the police. I cannot belive how gullible I was!

Oh that is awful. Clever ploy, though. I suppose you can't claim on yor insurance, now, either.... tough.

The only bonus is that I've had the phone blocked & the laptop is a work one which requires a password as soon as it's powered up & is useless to the toerag. It's not really the things themselved, it's the contents. And I will NEVER let anyone in again without double checking who they are.

I know it's a fat lotta good to you now, Messalina, but liaison with landlord beforehand is good. I appreciate a lot are hard to get hold of. Sods!

ClareA, I know, I know but trying to get this through to him is the hard part. He just doesn't understand that he should let me know in advance. He doesn't do it out of nastiness but he doesn't understand tenancy laws. We've been here for over 7 years &don't actually have a contract!
