I bought a box of frozen morello cherries from the supermarket. I'm scouting around for a quick dessert that will use them up. I wondered about a crumble. But do I need to cook the cherries before I put the crumble topping on? Or can I just put them in a dish and sprinkle them with sugar? Maybe I don't even need the sugar .... help!!

They will probably need a bit of sugar. I would just chuck in a dish with some sugar put the crumble on and bake in the oven.
they will need sugar, I bought some last week to have with ice cream and they needed sweetening up. Fine to cook from frozen they are quite soft.
