Thank you lofty, coocoo cooo cooo cooocooo all blo**dy day long. lofty they look nice but I wish they could do it quietly.As for magpies, I've watched them fly off with baby blackbirds from the nests we've been watching the parents fly back and forth feeding them for weeks. I love to hear the blackbird singing on a quiet sunny evening.

You need to run up and down the garden clapping you hands Gran,that's what I do this time of year...The neighbours thinks I'm crazy but I'm not much bothered, it scares the maggies

Mr ask has been clapping his hands already mazie, we have Jackdaws which nest in our (blocked off) chimney, he doesn't like them. At least they raid the magpies nest in turn. The Wood pigeons just bumble about.

It's been realy hot all day, and a lovely evening, all the birds have been singing, and the "Tawny Band" have just started up............. Bl*ody brilliant, topped off by 11 days off from tomorrow yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhh

Really warm here today, Been in the garden all afternoon sorting the pond out. We have quite a large one and had over 50 fish in it, we lost over half in the winter and another 10 or so have gone. Neighbours have told me of a heron that has been visiting at about 6.30 a.m. so we have had to net the pond. Also sorted out a lot of very overgrown plants and put in some smaller ones, looks great now a good job done.
