......did Vincent live up to your expectations last night?  I actually quite enjoyed it and as well as the usual good performance from ray Winstone I also thought that Marc Warren was very good!

I'm a big Ray Winstone fan but I gave up on this about half way through.

Oh that's a shame especially if you've been looking forward to it!  Like I said I quite enjoyed it and I do like Ray Winstone although I'm not a massive fan!  I suppose there's only so much you can do with a tv private eye before the storylines become a bit contrived!

Hi libertie, I did consider giving up half way through like don1, because as you say the minor storylines were a bit weak and contrived. I don't like the "I love my wife but she has moved in with another bloke and I can't handle it." storyline. 

I stuck with it because the casting was so good ( and of course Raymondo was his usual brilliant self ) I agree that Marc Warren was good; he fits that type of character perfectly, and I did like the main storyline especially when Vincent found the wife "dead" in the shower then see the slight movement. 

I will watch it again because of a good watchable cast and I am already caring about what happens to them all. Plus I like so little on tv at the moment it's great to look forward to a programe again.

And Ray Winstone is in it !!

It was a good enough effort, the only negative was the performance of suranne jones she' just has no depth to her as an actress..

It was reminiscent of Cracker, a not- too- handsome lead who has an amazingly attractive sidekick, who of course, adores him.
