You normally have to hand back all your uniform including the helmet, so that if your house is burgled people cannot go on to commit crimes with official police attire, duping the public etc.

Yes, very strange that, Booldawg. As I understand it, they cannot be prosecuted if they do decide to urinate into a policeman's helmet. Odd! What else can pregnant women get away with I wonder?

Police Helmets actually have 'breather holes' so would not be an effective vessel in times of erm......extremis. :o)
