was in m&s this morning,and they had started reducing some of the meals,lovely chichen breasts(2) with a herb,pine nut and crispy topping.i got 4 packs and cooked them all this afternoon and will have one for tea tonight with a salad,also got 3 packs pork medalions which i browned in the frying pan and then into the slow cooker,everything is ready now to get put into their individual freezer bags,i saved myself a good few bob,so i am happy,what do you do to save money????

I buy Golden Virginia instead of Regal King size. That saves a few quid over a week.
I don't buy anything. It's surprising what tasty scraps you can find in bins.

mickey the way things are looking we will all be raking the bins
I use the convection oven feature on my microwave. Not used the "big oven" for ages.
I buy the short-dated stuff in Tesco and Morrisons, freeze it if we're not going to eat it straight away.
Those M&S chicken breasts sound lovely, Kate, did it taste good?
I make a really strict list of meals, snacks and treats when I do my on-line shopping. If the total goes over £100 I go back and change it - sad, but satisfying.
