If i fire up a petrol mower in my living room, will the fumes kill me off, and painlessly, or is there a risk of failure? Would it be best to get drunk first?

You're logic seems profound but i am no medic. ain't you got a friend you can talk to about this?
I assume you mean death by carbon monoxide poisoning (which depends on the efficiency of your petrol mower since very reliable motors will fully oxidise petrol to carbon dioxide which is much less toxic): I would ensure your living (sic) room was pretty air tight then set the old boy off full cock. Carbon monoxide binds irreversibly to haemoglobin preventing you from distributing much needed oxygen resulting in death. Whether it is painless, I am not the one to judge and I think alcohol has little to do with it (although the answer is at the bottom of the glass).
ABnormal - I seem to recall a lengthy thread in response to your posting a few weeks ago, on similar lines. If you need to talk to someone, try and find someone who can really help. I know it can be a big help to stay anonymous on a site like this... but nobody here can understand what you are going through in the same way that a trained person can.

Are you in the UK? Call the Samaritans on 08457 90 90 90 or visit their website at http://www.samaritans.org.uk/ If you are in another country, I hope there is a similar organisation there. Talk to someone -- and good luck.
