Wallpaper.or not...

...I was watching Corrie the other night and every set had patterned wallpaper and I thought 'Every wall in my house is coloured emulsion paint'.Am I out of sink with Corrie or vice versa, just wondered....

I like wallpaper, not that keen on plain walls.

Plain walls are o.k if you have super duper blemish free smooth walls that will take emulsion.

One of SIL's wants walls like mine. They're painted and lovely and smooth. No hassle with wallpaper for once. (Had 20 or so years of wallpapering in previous house)

It's fashionable again and I like it, but I have loads of stuff on my walls, it wouldn't show up against pattern. Mine are all either straight emulsion on plaster, or emulsion on plainish wallpaper.

In my opinion its what you like , i am against following " fashion " or whatever you call it ... be individual and have as you like it

I like to look at the houses for sale on rightmove to get inspiration for decorating

I have emulsioned walls at the moment because my son will eat the wallpaper, I do love nice plush textured wallpaper.

I have noticed a resurgence in the use of carpet again instead of laminate flooring
