Getting your website to come up on Google

When I created my website, my domain host took me through a free process that claimed to register my site with Google.

I completed this but 3 weeks on, when I search for it, it never seems to come up.

So, I wanted to know how to do it properly.

To add your website to Google go here:

To get your site added to both the AltaVista and Yahoo! search engines (which many of us prefer), go here:

(Click the link under 'Basic submit'. If you've not got a Yahoo! ID you'll need to sign up but it's free and easy).
