I am hoping to take 2 elderly friends on a visit to Wisley Gardens for a birthday treat in early June.Is there much to see at that time and can one still have lunch there on a weekday - it must be 40 years since I last visited the place!!! If anybody thinks there may be a nicer garden to visit within driving distance of Portsmouth - I am open to suggestions.
Thank you in advance

The Sir Harold Hillier garden in Romsey is worth a visit any time of the year. It's about 30 miles from Portsmouth.
