Hey, chucky

So, on the way to Gatwick today, I checked the price of petrol at the Rabbit Roundabout.

The BP station on the roundabout is 140.9 (for unleaded).

Curiously, the Esso station just down the road (into town) is only 137.9.

The next BP station out along the A23 is 139.9.

And the Shell station near the park is 134.9 !

So the Shell station about half a mile closer into town is 6p cheaper. I'd never noticed.

Having said which, the Shell station is really pikey.

I'm not stopping at a pikey petrol station just for the sake of 6p.

Yes, it's rough, isn't it, Icey.

Much better to carry on to the BP station.
try this

http://www.petrolprices.com/

it doesn't give pikiness ratings, though.

That's interesting, jno.

It's not totally accurate. It says the highest price in my area is 139.9.

Well, okay ... I suppose it might be correct if the BP station has reduced it's price since yesterday afternoon.

=0)

Do you know, I can't remember why Chuck asked me to look at the prices.
I don't think I've ever had a petrol price thread dedicated to me before :)

I've see a lot more pikey looking petrol stations than the one opposite the park

Take one of my local pikey garages for example...

Also on the subject of fuel prices, while out and about yesterday the highest I spotted in about a 5 mile area was 148.9 (diesel) and the lowest was 137.9, which is a hell of a difference for driving a few miles extra!
I just wish they would stop this point 9 nonsense.

If it was possible to put 139.9 in a vehicle, how could they give you change?
albaqwerty, nobody buys a litre; buy 10 litres and save a penny.
I know jno :)

I used to just put in either £10 or £20 when I had a car.

LOL guys

Chuck ... maybe there has been a sudden increase in pikey petrol stations.

Well, I'm certainly not putting pikey petrol in my little MG. It would break the engine.
