Your husband can't just decide that the children will now live with him when they have been in your care for the last 2 years, this goes for his biological child and certainly he has no right to decide where his non biological child will live either. The same situation happened with my son who had had his son living with him for 2 years after he separated from his wife (the biological mother). Then after she had him for a long weekend she just didn't turn up with him on the arranged date she was meant to bring him back. After several attempts to call her on the phone she eventually sent my son a message saying she had decided to keep my grandson permanently (and she too had been very haphazard with regards to keeping in contact with him previously). My son went to a family law solicitor first thing on the Monday morning who went straight into court and got an order saying that the boy must be returned to his Dad immediately. We drove the 200 miles from Yorkshire to Wales to bring him home. It was a temporary resident order until Social Services did Kafkas reports on the best parent for him to live with. That was 8 yrs ago and my son was given full custody and his wife regular access (which she never bothered with) wasn't seen again for several years, my grandson is 12 now and she recently came back into his life, albeit periodically.
