I am off to the London area for the wedding.

Not to attend but to see friends and play some golf - will probably see the early part of the marriage but then we have a pm tee off time at Royal St Georges and I have never played there. Am looking forward to it.

Then I have a godparents lunch on Sunday with other friends. Looking to be back on here on Tuesday......maybe very late Monday as I am not sure when I am coming back.

My god, this sounds almost like Molly - anyone seen her since she flounced?

Have a great weekend all of you, and apologies mamya/ladyalex as to the Sat. night Mad Club. I'll keep a look out for some really bizarre raffle items. Do you think I could get a copy of the video of the first night on Friday???

Oh yes, lady alex, depraved behaviour on evening walks down to the pier, overlooking the Castle.......or skinny dipping with gorgeous women in the pool underneath the Scores. Bloody cold but great for pert nipples!
Too much information , DT.

lol - life at St A is like that...too much information, or was that drink.

The Uni Union motto is "The original home of the hangover."

Most apropos.
Being an Edinburgh girl myself, I am afraid we thought you were all a load of pansies.
Question Author
in my time thats why we duffed you lot over at the oval bladder game, alex!
Fortunately I am not a sports fan......just know we didn't wear pansy red gowns with funny rules about which arm you could show....

And we had a bigger castle.....

Do you remember Miles Kingston on the difference between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The former, a wrecked city full of characters who get blitzed, particularly every Sat night and furthjer destroy the place. Real characters if you can understand them and where probablility theory was invented. Out after a few bevvies and you get a knife at the back "Who der ya supput then Jimmy?" 50:50 chance of a slug of scotch or nsertion of the knife and virtually 100% the knife if you say "Queen of the South."

Edinburgh a quiet, civilised city, rather quaint where the buildings have been cleaned up. Full of wee Marys though and nothing really happens.

What would be the ideal situation would be to have Glaswegians living in Edinburgh. How long would this last?

Until the first Saturday night..........
Don't get me started on Weegies, DT...

a bigger castle with a shiny manginifying brass plate in the forecourt so the locals could see if their balls were still there, being so small in nature relative to their St A and Dundee colleagues.......we just had a tarnished plate as we didn't need to see, just a quick grope from the GF!
Too much information again , DT.......

true, dangerous beasties, Alex.

I love the story about Bono appearing in Glasgow and at the end of the concert he wanders out in sanctamonious fashion and starts to slowly clap into the microphone.

He keeps this up for over a minute and then leans over and into the mike, says, "Every time I clap a young child in Africa dies of Aids or starvation. We need to do something."

A voice four ropws back with a strong Weegie accent, "Well stop feckin' clappi' then!"
Question Author
With that, will say, "Night all and behave yourselves, while I am gone, at least, be as good as I always am!"

Doc, are you listening....
Night night DT and again, have a great weekend.
;-))
