Bye all - this is not a flounce.
40 Answers
I am off to the London area for the wedding.
Not to attend but to see friends and play some golf - will probably see the early part of the marriage but then we have a pm tee off time at Royal St Georges and I have never played there. Am looking forward to it.
Then I have a godparents lunch on Sunday with other friends. Looking to be back on here on Tuesday......maybe very late Monday as I am not sure when I am coming back.
My god, this sounds almost like Molly - anyone seen her since she flounced?
Have a great weekend all of you, and apologies mamya/ladyalex as to the Sat. night Mad Club. I'll keep a look out for some really bizarre raffle items. Do you think I could get a copy of the video of the first night on Friday???

Do you remember Miles Kingston on the difference between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The former, a wrecked city full of characters who get blitzed, particularly every Sat night and furthjer destroy the place. Real characters if you can understand them and where probablility theory was invented. Out after a few bevvies and you get a knife at the back "Who der ya supput then Jimmy?" 50:50 chance of a slug of scotch or nsertion of the knife and virtually 100% the knife if you say "Queen of the South."
Edinburgh a quiet, civilised city, rather quaint where the buildings have been cleaned up. Full of wee Marys though and nothing really happens.
What would be the ideal situation would be to have Glaswegians living in Edinburgh. How long would this last?
Until the first Saturday night..........

true, dangerous beasties, Alex.
I love the story about Bono appearing in Glasgow and at the end of the concert he wanders out in sanctamonious fashion and starts to slowly clap into the microphone.
He keeps this up for over a minute and then leans over and into the mike, says, "Every time I clap a young child in Africa dies of Aids or starvation. We need to do something."
A voice four ropws back with a strong Weegie accent, "Well stop feckin' clappi' then!"
