I went to see the doc today as Ive been getting a little bit breathless, nothing really major but thought it worth getting checked out, he listerned to my chest and back and said it seems as though I have a chest infection as he could hear some crackling, and put me on antibiotics, the thing is apart from the breathlessness i feel as right as rain, and i dont have a cough, surely if it were a chest infection i would be feeling just a bit under the weather.
If it's the beginning of an infection, you wouldn't necessarily feel under-the-weather. It might just be the weather, though. There have been several warnings this week about adverse affects on respiration in some people (mainly asthma and COPD sufferers)
I agree....never seen someone with acute bronchitis without a cough.
"Crackling" is of 2 types..coarse and fine....both indicating different conditions.
Arti may well be right...........monitor the situation.
I'm not sqad, but you should always complete a dose of antibiotics, not leave off in the middle - it says so on the box, you won't see any effect unless you take them all.
