Words that really hack you off

As I get older I find I get very picky about spelling and the misuse of words
On a social network site there's an ad for a game describing it as 'ADDICTING'.
Every time I see it it makes me cross and I've had several arguments about this word

Are there words that people use/misspell that annoy you?

I can't stand someone using ancient expressions e.g. 'me thinks, or methinks' instead of I think. We are not in the 16th century or whenever that was an appropriate word or words.(must get it right)

If I'm writing a really long answer or question, I write it in MS Word, then check spelling and grammar then copy and paste it into this site, also no risk of losing it if the site throws a wobbly and deletes it, that has happened a few times.

Come to think about it, I don't really care as long as it is understandable.

The thing is I don't think its that important, as long as you are not rude about other peoples mistakes why should they be about yours.

I suffered a lot as a child, but now at the ripe old age of errr 50 something, I just laugh into my salary slip!
