err - a little personal problem

Firstly, I apologise for the graphic question!
I had a Mirena coil fitted 4 years ago and I'm also on medication called 'Danazol' for cyclical mastalgia. I went to the gym last night and did some vigorous exercise for over an hour and today, suddently I started bleeding heavily with small clotts.
My question is: is it the exericse that has caused the bleeding or is it a problem with the coil? Do I need to be concerned and visit the GP asap or let nature take it's course? I haven't had a period for over 3 years due to the medication, however, my last child was born 4 years ago and I'm 47 years of age so I expect I will starting the menopause sometime in the near future!
Many thanks for your advice.

Either way please go and see the doctor to be on the safe side to check it hasnt perforated your uterus. I have used a plain IUD with no problems, this did cause me heavy bleeding and bad cramps but since its removal no pain and no more heavy bleeding...
