presumably it's a firs generation number incorrectly spaced, eg OO 7770 but I didn't think they used the letter O so I'm struggling to see how this is a legal number.
The name's Bond ....... James Bond
Sorry, I can't tell you who owns it, but it's probably a Guernsey number plate:

Anyway, it seems that you get away with anything on an Aston Martin this week ;-)

Guernsey plates have no leading zeros and no letters.
sorry should have read the link! looks like they are introducing some but they would not be valid in UK, well only as a visit.
it could be Pete Townsend - he lives in Richmond.
I can't tell you whose it is but its reg is OO 7770 ( the first two being letters and the rest numbers).
From the DVLA website it is, indeed, an Aston Martin.

The vehicle details for OO 7770 are:

Date of Liability 01 05 2012
Date of First Registration 30 04 2008
Year of Manufacture 2008
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 5935CC
CO2 Emissions 394g/Km
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour SILVER
Vehicle Type Approval M1
Vehicle Excise Duty Rate for vehicle
6 Months Rate £253.00
12 Months Rate £460.00
right graham as I speculated above it's from the NN 9999 early format. Displayed illigally of course but that's the number, I just didn't think they used the letter O in the letters part.
Just looked on MID and there is a OO7, it's on a Roller though!
I took this photo at Brooklands a couple of months ago:

that's a beauty, AP :o)
..aint it just ?
It was absolutely pristine inside and out, I nearly grew an extra leg when I saw it :-)
They went out of production in 1965, this one must be worth at least half a million.

Thanks everyone, wish I knew who owned it, just being nosy. They drove so fast we couldn't make out who it was. It also had a large round sticker advertising ? type thing on the passenger door ...
