How would I go about doing this?

This is a food/travel/parenting/technology question so I have put it here (hope no one minds).

I would like to set up a website with information on where to eat with children when out and about.  I don't want to make money from it and I don't want to say anything nasty or untrue.  I just want a site with the good things about places to eat (primarily pubs and then leading onto cafes, garden centres, etc).  How would I get this information and would I need any permission from the owners of the businesses to include them?  My husband would set up the template for the site so I should be ok on that bit. Thanks for any help.

Start with the domain name. Set up the site and send URLs to prospective eating houses with rates for inclusion on site. Ofcourse, you should visit the cafes etc to award stars - for free.
Certainly charge the locations to be advertised or reviewed on the site - be a bit like yellow pages, if they don't pay, they're not included.

That's the thing - I want recommendations from other people as I want to include areas where I don't go (and I dont want to incur any costs as I don't want to charge for inclusion). I want 'real' opinions but don't know how I would 'trust' what these people say.
If you are going to list reviews from the general public you run the risk of businesses boosting their own reputations and possibly damaging that of their competitors. This seems like a minefield to me.
