Wordpad 'conversion filter'

I've received an e mail (from a known source) with a Wordpad document, but my PC won't open it. It comes up with an error window saying about not having a conversion filter. I have had this before and tried googling a solution, but got nowhere. Anyone out there can tell what to do?

I've found a download that works...about the 6th one I tried!!
