I've missed it tonight, but he was on TV earlier this year and it was said he had some work done on his face. He was also reported as saying that he had walked into a wall and damaged his nose, so he had to have it straightened. Pinnochio?

whatever he has had done it has ruined what was once a quite acceptable voice.
