i was going to make soup yesterday using a ham haugh but changed my mind and got a gammon one instead,do i have to leave it in cold water overnight,do i use it the same as the ham,will my soup taste ok with the gammon ,i have never used that before

I would soak it to get rid of the salt, and then use it to make your soup as usual!.............probably taste even better!.................
