AV ... a simple explanation

(1) Everybody's "second choice" becomes the winner.
(2) The "first choice" from each constituency is eliminated.
(3) The whole country is therefore represented by "runners up".
(4) Nobody gets the MP they want.
(5) So Parliament is full of losers.
(6) No change there, then!

No ... but under AV we would have had the same coalition, but under Lib Dem control ...
... which nobody wanted.
So AV would have produced a Government with 0% public support.

Triggy's idea is much better ... but maybe include Tyra Banks and Miss J Alexander in the voting.
