I agree with Chuck, hindsight is a wonderful thing. 1/2 a mile in any given direction, how many houses, should they have searched every house? If so how often? If you searched it in 2003 should you search every year.
As I said on another question it took the US 20 years to catch the Unabomber. He was in a house in the hills how could they have missed him?

I'd like to know whose telephone numbers that were stitched inside Bin Ladens clothing. They must give a lead to actually helped him whether it was the Pakistan security services or what.
To have lived for up to 6 years in a fortified compound so close to he military establishments stinks of a cover up by Pakistan.
The Americans can't trust Pakistan it makes ou wonder why we do, their nation has been nothing but trouble and we should sever our ties with them then at least we know who are our real enemies.
