I really do not know how or why facebook is so popular?

Please can somone just give me a simple guide on how to search for someone. I thought you could search by name & area, but this does not seem to be the case & it's driving me insane.

Hope some can help a novice.

well to answer your first question, I like it because it keeps me in touch with friends. I became less mobile over a year ago, so able to get out and about less, and had it not been for facebook the chances are I'd have lost touch with many. Also, as a result of that mobility issue, I had to sell up and move well away to where I could afford to live, and it does help mekeep in touch with what is happening back home. I have also found new friends, many of whom are on here anyway, but over there I can interact in ways I couldn't here.

what you see is what you get I am on Facebook as Dee Sa with a pic of a lady gorilla with lippy on holding a tart, I took from the birthday card my brother sent me which said "happy birthday you old tart" and I liked so much I had it put on my Facebook, I must confess it was too complicated for me to do and I got a friend to do it for me.
