Car started after long wait !

I've had a productive day today (after a huge ***-a-thon here earlier) my car has been languishing up the driveway for a couple of months untouched since its head gasket blew last June.
I charged up the battery and it started with just half a turn of the key !! I was chuffed to bits so I gave the old beast a damn good wash.
Now all I have to do is get that head gasket replaced.
Does anyone else have any partial-success car related anecdotes to share ?

yes, one of my electric windows packed up last week. it was a rear one so not an urgent issue but low and behold yesterday I tried it by accident and hey presto it was working! My car mends itself!

well I don't have my car serviced and it's been ok so far , i think it had an oil change in 2009 though, or maybe 2008. The airbag light flashes alot too but the passenger one is switched off
