Hi DT, I reread the thread from last night and in particular your post to/about me and I am totally at a loss. I generally have a good memory, so thinking it must be failing me, I went through old posts and can find nothing where we have had a 'stand off'. Are you maybe confusing me with someone else? I found a few threads where I had got into arguments but unless you have other IDs on here then none of them concerned you. As for me being disagreeable, arrogant and condescending - I have many faults and am often called on them, but those have never been among the accusations thrown my way.
Finally, you asked if I was educated in Scotland - yes I was. Why do you ask?

I am not one of these that run other IDs other than one when Pinki and I were suspended for our "fun" one Sunday evening, but haven't used that since.
I don't harbour grudges believe me......if I mistakenly slandered you as disagreeable, arrogantand condescending then I will apologise
I asked as actually I was at Uni for BSc/MSc in Scotland - you may laugh but it makes one more patriotic!
There were some serious points in last night's exchange though and I too would welcome some better definition of independence. There are a few things that we should keep at a cooperation level, being defence/military, terrorism , immigration and drug control for example, as "one force" is more powerful than two or three on this.
And this is what should happen at European level.....define what should be truly trans-national and pan European, what should go on at State level (mindful of local traditions and law), what should happen at local regional level (like Highland & Islands or SW Development down here). Going to take a very powerful statesman to pull that off but it could be a role for the UK if we pull off our own first

across the system yes sandy - in my time I would have argued that Highers better prepared freshmen for BAs/MAs and A levels for Science.....(though the latter has plunged in quality). However England has stonking Unis in O and C but places like Durham, Bristol, Manchester (science), and they say Nottingham is seriously on the up and for MBAs, London Bus School outshines anything in EU (look at the world rankings and the FT placement (no 1 for the latter but they are British - I think).
The only thread where we may have had a run in was Koode's free prescriptions one which has been removed - but I only remember arguing with him on that, and even that was about whether Annie and I were the same person or not! The closest I've had to a big fight on here was actually in my defence of you and Pinki on 'that' thread which I thought was very funny. Anyway, byegones and all that :)
Which Uni were you at? (My 'education' only runs to Primary and Secondary school)
Chris - you do it so much better than me ;) Thanks x
Bednobs - thankyou. The shoe thread did get a wee bit OTT, but that was Joeluke and sqad showing their fashion expertise ;) How is it going with the 'bump' these days? You must be pretty far along now.
