Language on windows

I have used some computers that have a blue icon with EN onthe bottom right on the tool bar,. I want to run chinese input on my windows millenium edition, but i have no language icon to click on to use.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'm not in front of my own computer at the moment, but if I remember correctly you go into control panel, then the keyboard icon and there is a language tab. Click add language and apply. You may need the installation disk and it should then add the language that you choose from the drop down menu, together with the blue icon. However, I don't know if Chinese is an option, you may need to download it from ms.
