I've just noticed a new road sign that has appeared recently in my area, it is an orange/yellow colour with a black boarder and black lettering simply saying BANK HOLIDAY. One is in North Somerset on the way out of Weston-super-mare on the A370 the other in Somerset on the way into WSM. I just wondered what on earth they are supposed to be for ?
Surely any tourist who is down here would know it is a bank holiday as that is probably why they are here in the firts place, so I can only assume it's for us yokels who the local councils must think are to stupid to know what day of the year it is. What a waste of money.
Perhaps its to make people think a bit more when travelling in heavy traffic as everyone is rushing to get away to their destination, or perhaps to be on the look out for the bikers who flock to the roads too....
Does you wear a straw 'at and chews grass when talkin' to the grockles? That there pond can't be deep coz the water only comes up to the middle of the ducks.
Well all has become clear this morning with the addition of another sign on another post saying BLEADON MAY FAIR. Although why they couldn't put both up together is still beyond me.
