I check my Hotmail spam by viewing the message source - (wish Gmail had that feature) - and some messages contain some of my contact addresses.

Have I been hacked, and can I do anything about it?

"some messages contain some of my contact addresses."

This doesn't mean you have been hacked. It means someone has your email address, maybe you signed up for something and those details have been sold on.

"wish Gmail had that feature"

It does. Click the little arrow next to "reply" and click "show original"

Thanks for the Gmail tip, Spare Ed - it will make life much easier.

When I said contact addresses, I meant the addresses of my contacts - I think that's worrying - has someone accessed my list of contacts?
It is possible it has worked the other way around, one of your contacts has been hacked who shares a lot of the same contact email addresses as you.

How was it displayed? Like a forwarded email?
