When I delete emails from my inbox, then from the trash - they reappear. I have restored my settings, but the problem persists. Can't find help in the manual - any suggestions
would be appreciated

if it's a POP3 based account you've got the option to leave the emails on the server ticked.

It's Hotmail a/c (I don't know what a POP3 based a/c is). I have had this ipod for 2 years and my emails have always stayed deleted before - so it's a new problem.
