Just been reading about Uk foreign Travel Guides and their descriptions of England, one says Liverpool and Manchester most depressing places another one says English are overweight binge drinking TV addicts, strong stuff is this justified? How about recent murder in Tenerife and other countries are not without blame.

Sound like accurate descriptions to me
I don't think it's the norm to list murders in tour guides.

Tenerife is relatively crime-free in comparison to the UK.
you're going the wrong places in Liverpool then joeluke!
Who was making them comments, Aston ? was it an opinion poll or the author of the Travel Guide - bit harsh....
got a link Aston.....?
Perhaps the writers have simply been looking at the statistics?

Perhaps they meant that people from Liverpool and Manchester are overweight binge drinking TV addicts?
Oi, I'm not an...erm...binge drinker...
Sorry but Tenerife just as rough as England!!
Never been to liver but I would concur with manchester being depressing, I didn't like it very much but I think most people who go seem to. Unfortunately I also think there's some credence to england catching up with america in the over weight and tv addict states in some places, that there is binge drinking here is hardly news, there have been campaignes about it for a while.
