i got into a fight the other night and am being charged with gbh

i was out in my usual club with my friends having a laff and i noticed a guy from my past come in my sister ex who beat her up he has slagged my mother off he has threatned my two year old daughter and her mother slagged off the child he has with my sister that he isnt aloowed to see......... i asked the door staff to keep him away from me i told my friends and said please keep him away from me i dont want trouble but he kept following me around tryin to talk to me then he came out while i was smokin outside and ket askin to talk to me i told him to leave me alone and he wouldnt so like a idiot i agreed to speak to him away from every1 else we walked away from lub to which my friend tryd to stop me but i said its ok he just wants to talk so we went and talked to which he started shoutting more abuse in my face i told him to flump off and he said come on then fight me fight me i said no he caleed me a pussy and said fight me i was sarred of him kjnowin he is ex milatary and martial art trained so ipunched him we fought i goyt better of him on ground and him him again then walked off .............. then police arrived i handed myself over to them told them what happened i was taken away on abh and later changed to gbh as he had cut to his head and broken jaw and suspected cracked ribs my friends told police what happened and so did another whitness who i do not no ....... the guy i fought at first pretended not to no me ect ect then when my friends said *** he said he did and said it was all me there is cctv footage of the fight i have a fractured humb into my ligament in it and a bite wound to my knucle and have had to have a tetnus and hepatitus jab incase and been put on anti biotics

im woorryin what will happen and dont want to go to jail but will if i need to but surly im not fully in wrong here shouldnt there be something to say i wil just be fined for his damge and be put on tag or something like that as i only have 2 cautions on record one 3years old and one a year old the first being for having a bladed article in public place caus ei walked out house with a knife to hase off 3 guys who were beating my friend up and the second being for calling my ex a *** to which she is tryin to have removed cause she said it was stupid thing to get me cautioned for im not a violent person but ofbviously can hold my own and then some if needed commennts wud be apriciated

Your solicitor needs to review the evidence very carefully to see whether it's worth trying to persuade the CPS to drop the charge to ABH. To see the difference between the two levels of injury, read paragraphs 46 and 55 here.

last summer i had a house party at the party there was a fight,the fella that got beat up has said i was hitting him he had 2 fracutures to his jaw a cut to his eyebrow and lip. Ive been charged with gbh sec 20 without intent, ive got crown court in the next few weeks what i wanted to know is it likely that i will be sent to prison ive never been arrested before. My plea was not guilty
